FAQ Student Loans

Q:  How long is my grace period?
A:  9 months

Q:  Who is ACS?
A:  The billing service provider hired by Principia.  ACS is not a collection agency.  They simply send out the monthly billing statements and deposit the payments for Principia.

Q:  Can I view my account online?
A:  Yes.  ACS provides a website as part of their billing service.  The website address is www.acs-education.com

Q:  Can I make payments online?
A:  Yes.  Choose the “Express Payment” option on the ACS website and follow the instructions where you give all of your banking information.

Q:  Does ACS take credit cards?

A:  No.

Q:   Do I have to make loan payments right after I leave Principia if I am still in school?

A:  No.  Any time you are at least a half time student, you are eligible for an education deferment where your monthly loan payments will be put on hold and no interest will accrue.

Q:  How do I apply for an education deferment?
A:  Go to the “Forms” option on the ACS website and download the education deferment form.  Complete the top portion of the education deferment form and then take it to your college registrar to complete and sign.  Mail the completed and signed deferment form to the ACS address listed at the bottom of the deferment form.
