Assistant Supervisor, Landscape

The Principia School Landscape Department is responsible for the management of sports fields, landscape, ornamental trees, flower beds, and sports turf for the Principia School. At the direction of the Landscape Supervisor, this position assists as directed with the management, planning and scheduling of all activities to support the school sports programs and landscape needs. Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Assistant Event and Facilities Manager

- Full-time, 10-month position beginning July 1, 2015

The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach works in close association with other sport coaches to develop systematic training programs for both teams and individual athletes in order to increase their athletic performance in specific sports. This is accomplished by developing the strength, speed, flexibility or endurance, of student-athletes depending on the needs or the requirements of the sport. This work includes teaching proper lifting techniques, supervising and motivating athletes as they work out, and assessing their performance. The Assistant Event and Facility Manager works in conjunction with the Director in implementing policies to ensure effective and efficient operation and management of all athletic facilities including but not limited to: day to day operations; use and care of indoor and outdoor athletic and recreational facilities; event management including coordination of event set-up and breakdown; coordination of facility maintenance; equipment/laundry room operations; inventory control; scheduling; building supervision. Principia Lifelong Learning (PLL) Program Planner

Resident Counselor - Upperclass Women's and Co-ed Dorms

- Full-time, 9-month position beginning as soon as possible

The upperclass Resident Counselor (RC) is a character educator, assisting the dean of students in the implementation of Student Life's educational charge (with emphasis on Principia Policy 19, College-wide learning outcomes, and Student Life outcomes). The RC encourages residents to grow as students of Christian Science, in moral courage, and as world thinkers and healers; provides a spiritually nurturing home life for students, acting with respect, compassion, and patience; lives/works in the RC apartment in the house; and is on-call 24/7 to oversee the house and support student needs. The RC is consistently watchful and spiritually discerning regarding student well-being, house activities, safety, and the overall welfare of the student body; consistently turns students to Christian Science; counsels and provides support and spiritual nurturing; models Christian behavior at all times; builds a relationship with each student in the house; advises the student house governing board; organizes house activities in collaboration with the house governing board; supports students who violate community standards; exercises moral courage in helping students find freedom from destructive behavior; participates in the integrated Student Life curriculum of character unfoldment programming (including Moral Reasoning programs). Special Requirements: Must be able to obtain College van certification and CPR certification or to complete Principia-provided training within 12 months of hire.
