Associate Director of Investment Operations

- Full-time, 12-month position beginning as soon as possible

Responsible for operational tasks relative to Principia's investment portfolio: serves as liaison with the custodial bank, consultants, peer institutions, and external investment managers; provides analytical support and plays a key role in operational risk management; ensures that funds are appropriately allocated as per the decisions of the Investment Committee; acts as point of contact with external auditors. Director, Principia College Language Institute

The Department of Languages and Cultures is committed to widening its language offerings to the Principia community. The new Language Institute provides support for Principia programs and guidance for community members wishing to initiate or strengthen their second language and intercultural skills. The faculty member holding this position teaches and facilitates instruction in a diversity of languages, in addition to managing the Institute, and is ranked as full-time faculty. Resident Counselor - Upperclass Women's and Co-ed Dorms

- Full-time, 9-month position beginning as soon as possible

The upperclass Resident Counselor (RC) is a character educator, assisting the dean of students in the implementation of Student Life's educational charge (with emphasis on Principia Policy 19, College-wide learning outcomes, and Student Life outcomes). The RC encourages residents to grow as students of Christian Science, in moral courage, and as world thinkers and healers; provides a spiritually nurturing home life for students, acting with respect, compassion, and patience; lives/works in the RC apartment in the house; and is on-call 24/7 to oversee the house and support student needs. The RC is consistently watchful and spiritually discerning regarding student well-being, house activities, safety, and the overall welfare of the student body; consistently turns students to Christian Science; counsels and provides support and spiritual nurturing; models Christian behavior at all times; builds a relationship with each student in the house; advises the student house governing board; organizes house activities in collaboration with the house governing board; supports students who violate community standards; exercises moral courage in helping students find freedom from destructive behavior; participates in the integrated Student Life curriculum of character unfoldment programming (including Moral Reasoning programs). Special Requirements: Must be able to obtain College van certification and CPR certification or to complete Principia-provided training within 12 months of hire. Theatrical Designer and Technical Director

- Full-time, 9-month position beginning Fall 2015

Teaches technical theatre courses; collaborates and works in partnership with directors to prepare concepts and create designs for theatre and dance productions, using current industry practices such as Computer Aided Design (CAD); creates scale ground plans, elevations, and construction drawings as well as light plots using current industry practices; stays current with professional industry standards for design, the technical aspects of theatre, and safety practices for scenic and lighting production needs; oversees the execution and installation of scenic, lighting, sound, and property designs for productions; coordinates and runs technical rehearsals, supervises and trains crew and house manager/staff, and supervises strike for each theatre and dance production; manages, schedules, and coordinates use of theatre facilities for classes, rehearsals, performances, and other campus or student events; maintains, inventories, and oversees use of all technical equipment; oversees and maintains technical budget; works with student directors on technical elements for senior-level directing class projects (i.e., one act plays); represents the College at regional and national festivals, meetings, or conferences; assists in departmental work, including assessment, program reviews, development of curriculum, and advising student majors. Minimum Qualifications: Active Christian Science Mother Church and local branch church membership; Christian Science class instruction preferred; MFA in technical direction or scenic design; professional experience in design and technical theatre; proven teaching experience in an academic or professional setting; ability to work as part of a team; knowledge of theatre operations, including safe practices, theatrical construction, scene painting, and light board programming; willingness to turn readily to God for guidance.
