Accounts Payable Clerk

- Full-time, 12-month position, beginning as soon as possible

Processes vendor invoices for payment while maintaining internal controls and upholding check disbursement policies. Receives and processes invoices, check requests, and statements. Monitors invoice approval activity with appropriate follow-up. Maximizes vendor discounts by determining appropriate payment schedule. Inputs invoices and other payment documentation into computer system. Maintains and updates necessary Excel spreadsheets. Proofs and reviews input batches. Prepares checks for vendor payments. Works closely with Purchasing Dept. to properly match purchase orders to invoices and payment requests. Communicates with various departments to ensure proper controls are met and input is correct. Answers vendor and department inquiries concerning payment history and related account questions. Regularly reviews credit balances with vendors and seeks refunds. Organizes and files documentation. Admissions Data Systems Analyst / System Administrator

Works closely with Admissions offices and CIS developers. Provides data and system expertise on programs and processes, version upgrades, and supporting software, including reporting/processing tools; also provides support for the Assistant Director of Admissions - Systems and Data. Alumni and Annual Giving Class Agent Program Specialist

- Full-time, twelve-month position, beginning as soon as possible

Supports overall advancement goals, including alumni participation and fundraising targets. Creates a climate of receptivity, loyalty, class unity, involvement, and participation through the implementation of creative and effective outreach programs for all alumni classes that result in a broader base of donors and volunteers. Annual Giving Program & Tele-fundraising Coordinator

- Full time, 12-month position beginning as soon as possible.

Supports the overall goals of the Advancement Department, including specific fundraising targets and alumni participation goals for Annual Fund. The program specialist is responsible for creating, coordinating, supporting, planning, and implementing an effective Annual Giving tele-fundraising program that supports both The Principia School and Principia College. This position works collaboratively with partnering offices to ensure accurate and efficient gift entry. Occasional evening work is required in conjunction with calling shifts. This position also supports the logistics and details of a year-round thank-a-thon program involving students or other volunteers. In addition, this position supports Principia's affinity credit card program, working closely with UMB on mailings and promotional materials, and responding to donor inquiries about the card. This position is responsible for respecting the confidentiality of donor files, office and constituent communications, and all other forms of communication. Coaches - Assistant C Team Football & Girls' Cross Country

- Part-time, seasonal position

Principia is always looking for qualified coaches! Maintains an effective working relationship with the assistant athletic director, department secretary, head varsity coaches, and assistant coaches. Builds and coaches a team of young Christian Scientists, and creates opportunities to connect players to Christian Science. Fosters a developing sense of character and completeness in each student. Demonstrates and communicates Principia's athletic creed of spiritual growth, hard work, and sportsmanship. Organizes practices and events. Teaches sport-specific skills. Inspires a disciplined, fun environment. Displays a good balance of structure and attainable goals, with an emphasis on spiritualization of thought as the primary means for growth. Able to detect areas for improvement and provide suggestions for player conduct and techniques, team ethics, tactics, and strategies. Supports the program during off-season periods. Must have love of young people and sports. Director of Christian Science Nursing

- Full-time, academic year position, beginning as soon as possible

This post is responsible for all School (St. Louis Campus) nursing operations and administration, ensuring the Manual-based standard for all nursing activities; assists nurses in continuous improvement and practicing at peak performance; serves in a nursing role on a rotating schedule. Reports to chief administrative officer; collaborates effectively with head of school, dean of students, athletic director, and boys' and girls' dorm residential heads. Provides quality, Manual-based Christian Science nursing care at the highest level; manages Campus House nursing facility and operations budget; communicates effectively with students, peers, subordinates, supervisors, parents, and departments of health and other government officials; facilitates/oversees and schedules nursing coverage for home and away football games; schedules nurses for 24/7 coverage during the academic year, throughout pre-fall and post-spring sports camps, as well as during other school-sponsored activities as required; annually reviews and updates the departmental portion of the School's Emergency Management Plan (EMP); annually collaborates with the Emergency Management Plan coordinator to coordinate departmental training in the skills necessary to the successful carrying out of the EMP; chairs hiring committee to fill nurse vacancies. House Father - Upper School Boys' Dorm

Long-term Substitute Chemistry Teacher

Teaches chemistry to students, primarily in 10th grade, using effective, hands-on instructional lessons and labs that demonstrate the scientific process for chemistry (in accordance with the school's curriculum), while working closely with the rest of the science faculty. Manager, Gift Services

In support of the strategic planning and goals within Advancement and the institution as a whole, this position is responsible for effective management and oversight of the accurate administration of receipting, recording, and depositing (as needed) all funds designated as gifts to The Principia. This includes ensuring that processing is timely and accurate, providing information for acknowledgements of gifts, reports, and other necessary items in support of donor relations and stewardship. This post is also responsible for the knowledge and application of related IRS regulations and best practices, with the goal of advancing Principia's relationships with donors and internal offices, and for effective management of the Gift Services Office, including oversight of annual plans, training, and performing gift processing tasks. Additionally, this post serves as the main point of contact for all gift-related information. Break Resident Counselor

- Full-time coverage during college breaks (23 weeks/yr), beginning December 2012

Consistently relies on and gives Christian Science treatment in support of the house and campus; attentive and accountable for the quality of student life in the student break house; turns students to Christian Science, counsels, and provides needed support; helps organize social activities; interviews and hires student resident assistant and house manager for the break and supervises and meets weekly with them; maintains and updates floor plans; coordinates move-ins and move-outs; drives students (using Principia vehicles) to church services and grocery store trips (or arranges for a driver). Front End Web Developer

- Full-time, 12-month position beginning as soon as possible

This position is responsible for working with the web team to convert high-end design concepts from Photoshop to HTML/CSS; assists writers in building professional HMTL e-mails for marketing communications such as PrincipiaWire and Principia School "Good News;" designs and/or assists in design of mini-sites for College abroads and various departments; provides ongoing web content maintenance and updates. This position is responsible for the development, design, maintenance, and support of online academic and Principia Lifelong Learning (PLL) training materials for faculty/instructors and students. Printing/Production Specialist

- Full-time, 12-month position, beginning as soon as possible

Responsible for working with budgetary guidelines and creating future budget plans, researching, managing, and proposing print/production and new equipment leases; coordinates, schedules, facilitates, and monitors printing and production services; maintains and operates a digital press printing machine and other equipment in the Copy Center using the services of contractors and outside providers as appropriate; troubleshoots and performs operator maintenance on copiers; proactively communicates with the Marketing Dept. regarding priorities, job status, timelines and deadlines, and production costs; provides copy, printing, bindery, and ancillary paper services; works with the Mail and Copy Manager to coordinate help and back-up as needed; coordinates and works with the Mail Center to produce and deliver mass and presort mailings; maintains all paper ordering and performs all inventories; confirms completed projects meet quality standards; prepares job cost estimates; advises and assists with work orders from walk-in clients; establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with staff and clients. The resident counselor is a character educator, assisting the dean of students in the implementation of the Office of Student Life's educational charge (see Principia's Policy 19 and College-Wide Learning Outcomes) to help students become public-spirited citizens and practicing students of Christian Science. The student activities director is a character educator who works closely with students and other departments to design and implement a program of diverse recreational all-campus activities and utilize them as vehicles for social and moral development. Technical Manager, Media Services

- Full-time position, 12 months, beginning March 01, 2012

This position includes broad responsibilities in regards to both equipment and personnel. Additionally, this is the lead technical support person for all events [excluding major Theatre Department productions] on campus that require audio/video/performance lighting support. Event support includes final responsibility for assuring that the correct equipment and personnel are assigned to cover each event and that each event is supported in a professional manner. Event support also includes the proper selection and placement of lights and misc. audio equalization and testing of the setup, and audio console/recording equipment operation during the event. Equipment responsibilities include primary responsibility for the Media Services $1,000,000 equipment inventory. This includes proper equipment operation, maintenance, replacement, transport, and storage, as well as operator training. Personnel responsibilities include primary responsibility for the guidance, training, discipline, scheduling, oversight, and operation of the student Tech Crew and secondary responsibility for the supervision of the student Video Crew. Minimum qualifications: Current Christian Science Mother Church membership and active local branch church membership (within a year of hire), Christian Science class instruction preferred; Formal training and/or commensurate significant, recent experience in such related disciplines as electronics, sound engineering, stage lighting, and computer technology; Ability to work flexible hours, including most evenings and weekends; Ability to climb ladders and work on catwalks, other high areas, and in close quarters; Strong knowledge of and experience with high quality sound pickup and audio recording equipment; Well versed in computer audio editing using an industry-recognized audio software package such as Pro Tools; Fundamental understanding of electronic and acoustic theory as it pertains to audio circuitry, signal levels, impedance, matching, hall acoustics, reverberation, and feedback; "good ear" for sound quality; Demonstrated skill with lighting design, set-up, and light board programming preferred; Strong interpersonal, management, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills; Self-motivated and a team player.
