Not ready to go home yet? Stay on with us for three extra nights in the beautiful capital of France! Ride the TGV (high-speed train) from Basel to Paris. Stay at the beautiful Hotel Concorde Opéra Paris, just five minutes (by Metro) from the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, Louvre, and Notre Dame.

Saturday, November 12
Enjoy a smooth ride and courteous service from a first-class seat. Before you know it, we’ll be in Paris, where we’ll go directly to the world-famous Louvre Museum for a guided tour. Afterward, we’ll take a short ride to our hotel.

After dinner on your own, join the group for a trip to the Seine and Place de la Concorde to see the Tour d’Eiffel lit up in all its glory. 

Sunday, November 13
Take a historical tour of the city in the morning. See the Opéra Garnier, the U.S. and U.K. Embassies, the neighborhood described in Les Misérables, Les Invalides, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs Élysées.

Our friends at Second Church of Christ, Scientist, will welcome us for their English-language service at 11:20. Afterwards, we’ll have lunch on the coach on the way to Versailles, where you can tour the royal apartments and explore the grounds.

Conclude the day dining with friends (on your own).

Monday, November 14
This is your day to visit the parts of Paris that call to you. Metro access all over the city is within easy reach of our hotel, and many museums are open on Mondays. If you would appreciate assistance, PACE staff can provide guidance. This evening, be our guest at our PACE farewell-to-Paris dinner.

Tuesday, November 15
Depending on your departure time, you may wish to visit the Musée d’Orsay with its delicious collection of art from the Impressionists and later. (~9.50€)

Whenever you depart, transfers to Charles de Gaulle International Airport will provide a gracious ending to this memorable adventure.

The Paris Extension is available only with the cruise program and involves extensive walking. Enrollment is limited.
