Student Employment

The purpose of the Student Employment program is to give students an opportunity to develop and practice good work habits, learn new skills, and contribute to the community.  Approximately 60 percent of Principia students work on campus during the academic term.  Most students work an average of 9 hours per week but may work up to 15 hours without petitioning.  Students who hold a 3.0 GPA, may petition each term to work a maximum of 19 hours per week. 

On-campus jobs vary from office receptionists and fitness center attendants to sales associates and library assistants.  All student employees are required to work 150 hours in one of our service departments (Dining Services & Facilities) during their 2 semesters of employment.
